CARS ON FILM
PROJECT BRIEF
A personal series shot on 35mm film, exploring the relationship between people and their cars.
What is often seen as purely functional becomes expressive, with cars acting as extensions of identity, taste, and environment.
Photographed over time with friends, at track days, and occasionally as second shooter on studio shoots for editorial style product photos.
INSPIRATION
The work is rooted in the idea that the mundane isn’t neutral, it’s just overlooked.
Cars can carry a surprising amount of personality, and my work is an attempt to capture the folks that really see their cars as an extension of themselves.
Shooting on film slows the process down, allowing for more intentional framing and a focus on light, color, and small details that might otherwise be missed.
TOOLS
Mostly shot on Nikon F100 with various film stocks, Cinestill 800 and Portra 400.
